University of Waterloo's issue on the "Seven Wonders that will Change your World" uses illustration to cover tech and innovation topics like Artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, the internet of things, additive manufacturing, robotics, quantum computers, big data and medicine. The hand drawn conceptual approach of the illustrations use bold graphic colours from the institution's brand guidelines. Additional topics are security, privacy, risks, health applications and cities. This was the first time this magazine used illustration. It was enjoyable to work with the Waterloo's team to illustrate the entire issue for them.
